Tab Trade â€” What It Is

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still preferable to a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something this new, that range is broad.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.

Safety

This is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform your assessment.
